Founded in 2008, Cherrytree Holdings is a locally owned and operated holding company in Grande Prairie, AB. What makes us different is simple: we self-manage only the properties we own. This hands-on approach means we are fully invested in every detail of our rentals, from maintenance to tenant relationships.
For us, property management isn’t just about buildings, it’s about people. We believe in clear communication, accountability, and providing spaces where tenants feel confident, respected, and supported.
Our Story
Cherrytree Holdings was our dream.
It all started with a call from college students. They wanted to rent my wife’s and my five-bedroom house in Crystal Heights. At first, we said no; the idea of students living there felt risky.
But then came a moment of reflection. Back in our college days, I lived in a lively house near NAIT, with six roommates, barbecues, parties, and great memories. Our landlord back then was fair, approachable, and respectful. That experience reminded us not to judge too quickly.
That memory changed everything. We called the students back, reviewed their applications, and met them at Tony Roma’s. They were organized, respectful, and ready. At the time, we were expecting our first child. We explained that this home was meant as an investment for our children’s future and that we ask them to be respectful of the home.
With our expectations laid out, they moved in, making memories of their own. We were proud to pay it forward, just as my landlord once did for me.
